Just got a new NV112. Any suggestions on settings for pedal steel straight to the amp?
Thanks
Charley

Hey Charley! Greetings from sunny Florida.
I"ve found these settings to work best for me:
Pregain 3
Low- +6
Mid- -15
Shift- 'bout 750
High- -3
Pr- -15
Main- 3+
My steel tends to be a little bright, thus the minus in the highs and presence.
I'm sure your "taste" will vary, but this works for me.
BTW, I didn't much like the N112 at first, but the longer you use it the better the sound gets. "They" say the speaker needs to be broken in.
Good luck finding the right tone.
Blessings to you,
jas.

Charley, perform a search in the "old" forum under electronics and you will get several settings from good players. I use Randy Beavers settings and tweak from there. It depends on your equipment. Good luck.

Thanks, James. I've written yours down and will try them.

Thanks, Morton. I did the search and found a lot of info. I had searched, but didn't realize I could search the old forum.

I got my amp yesterday and only got to play about 10 minutes thru it last night when I got back from San Diego. I have a wedding recept. to play tomorrow and won't get another chance to try it til then.

Some of the settings will vary widely. But, it also depends on whether you have the amp sitting on the floor or if it's raised up on a stand or chair.

I sit mine on a stand and my "normal" or starting point settings are:

Low +9
Mid -3 and 800 Hz
High +1
Presence +1

This is on a Franklin D-10 with Lawrence 710 pickups and a Hilton Volume Pedal.

Charley, here are the NV112 settings I use on my Derby.. E9neck. I change a little low and mid for the C neck.
Pre gain 7
lows 12-15
Mid 3
Shift - about 750 -775
Highs -9
Pres 12
Rev 1-2 ( I use a delay so I don't use much reverb)
Master 3 -4
It sounds like a good place to start .
