Randy, from left to right I set the controls as follows: 1. Barely crack this control. 2. 11 oclock 3. 1 oclock 4. #7 setting. I may slightly vary from these but not by much.

My settings are exactly like Jerry's too. I do add a touch of reverb on my amp as well. Keep it after volume pedal for best sound.

Randy, If you do a search on this subject you should find the settings used by Lloyd Green and Bobbe Seymour, and others. Good topic, but, you will probably end up with your own choices that, I think, vary by room size, pickups, and amp. Not to mention your playing style.

Search, yeah I did one but maybe I'm not using that format right. I put a search in for RV-3 settings before I made the post and 23 recent topics none of which were on settings just for sale or something else.
However I may not be doing the search right. If someone knows it would be more than appreciated. One thing that I've gathered for sure.
And that is never bring up the first knob or blend knob very much or you will get way to digital sound.
I sold mine and found that out later. Really the million dollar question is, if you had to have just one pedal what would it be. I don't like carrying around a bunch of stuff. But I was disappointed with my search, I'm sure I'm just not putting in the right stuff.

Randy, When the Forum format changed the older searches were separated from the ones since 12/30/06. The ones you may want are the older ones and you can access the older ones on the Search page. But, you will need to specify Electronics so you don't get all the For Sales posts.

Jerry's settings are what I use mostly too.

There's also a nice slap back effect if you put the second dial all the way up (5:45) and the third dial on 1 (all the way to the left), and then bring up the first dial a bit (9:00). For a "wetter" slap back change the third dial to 2 and experiment with the timing on the second dial.

Randy, If I remember correctly, the Lloyd Green RV-3 settings posted on the forum were this: Balance = set to room (9 o'clock or less) Tone = 11 o'clock R. Time = 11 o'clock Mode = #7. The RV-3 can go either before the amp or in the amp's effect loop. Bring an extra battery.
