These guys will be playing with the Bonebreak Synchopators the Feb 24th. at the pike in Long Beach. This is a show not to be missed for the non-pedal and all steel players alike in the
So-Cal area. Most people associate JW playing his Bigsby,,, but with this group, he plays his 7 string Epiphone. This band is also full of great talent including TK Smith on guitar, DJ Bonebreak on Vibes, Pappy (Dave) Stucky on the skins and Wally Hersom on the upright. Things get started about 9ish.

I'm on the west coast, but there's this little distance of 1300 or so miles...

Wish I could make it!

I'm even in California, and there's a "littler" distance involved, but it's still about 500 miles. Wink

T.K. Smith has to be my favorite guitar player and while I have never heard him live with Jeremy Wakefield I was lucky enough to see him with the Golden Hill Ramblers here in San Antonio. Last November I brought the Ramblers in from San Diego to play for a private party at the grand opening of my new store. The Ramblers were T.K. Smith, guitar, Johnny Maccree on an old Epiphone 6 string/lead vocals and Jim Austin on upright. Their CD is "Smiths Ranch Boys" on the Summertone label which has Jeremy Wakefield on steel is about as good as it gets.

The boys stayed here at my house that weekend with TK in the guest room and Jim and Johnny stayed in the recording studio above the garage. The party was on a Friday night (The Ramblers were phenomenal) then they played up in the studio with a few friends until about 4AM. They did a live radio show the next morning, played at my store again and then went to Austin where they absolutely blew the doors off the Contenental Club.

I stuck a Stringmaster and an old tweed Fender Champ in the corner of TK's room to see if he would bite. He never touched it. But it was pretty awesome waking up Sunday morning to TK playing on the back porch.

Here are some photos

there is way toooo much talent right here!

TK, Biller, Wakefield,DB, Deke and the rest of the gang are some of the most talented guys out there. I just wish Biller and Wakefield would tour with Wayne the train!

keep it up!

Dave B.,

How about a gig at the Contenental Club? Anyone else connected in Austin wanting to make this happen? Love to see them at Casbeers here in S.A. or at some place where they would be appreciated.
