This group is from my hometown of Northampton, Massachusetts! I have played on many shows with them, and they always steal the show! Audiences love them.

Group leader Bob Cilman started the chorus in 1982 as an activity for seniors at the local senior center. They surprise and delight audiences with their unique interpretations of rock and pop classics. My band played a Beatles tribute show a couple of years ago and the Young at Heart chorus sang "A Day in the Life" on the show. 80 year olds singing about smoking joints and they all raise their arms during the chorus... "I'd love to t u r n - y o u - o n..." On another of their shows an old woman came out front and center to sing "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" with great backing from the chorus. They use a lot of props on stage too, like shopping carts, furniture, etc. Believe it or not, they are very big in Europe. They tour Europe every year, and they take a local band to back them.

Young at Heart Chorus. Rock On! "These gyrating geriatrics travel around the world belting out rock classics and garnering rave reviews" —Time Magazine, ...
