I've seen Johnny Paycheck perform this song live several times on the Grand Ole Opry. Anyone have any videos of this song live?

I think I found half of what I'm looking for.. I have recorded somewhere on VHS cassette THIS particular show! imagine that.

Now if I could find Old Violin on the same show (which was after this song) I would be set.

Ben, I thought I had a live copy at Austin City Limits. Big Jim was with him, but I can't find it. Its either lost in some junk or I gave it away. will keep looking.

Daryl Singletary does a great rendition of this killer song as well.

I have Daryl's version. It's on his "That's Why I Sing This Way" CD. Which by the way is an awesome CD entirely!

And on that Singletary recording, it had Mr. Paycheck himself doing the recitation. I believe that was the last thing he recorded before he passed?

Yes, that recitation by Paycheck is heart-wrenching for sure.
