I had the ultimate pleasure of seeing Ray Price and his Cherokee Cowboys featuring our own Mike Cass last night at the Harlingen auditorium. Ray is truly a national treasure and his voice is still strong and in perfect pitch. It is an awesome feeling to sit there and listen to one of the true legends of the music we all love so well - - and he did so many of those great numbers that we all love to play. Mike, you did a great job and you did yourself proud. What a band!! What a super star!!
The last time I saw Ray was at the Virginia Theater in Wheeling just six months before Jimmy Day left us. Jimmy was on stage with Ray and the band and what a memorable performance that was. We must cherish every moment with these legends while they are still here to thrill us with their God given talent. |

I saw Ray a couple of weeks ago in Joshua,Tx.My friend Dale Morris Jr. was playing fiddle (One of them anyway, there was 3 all together).I got to see Mike Cass for the first time,he was awesome.I thought it was very interesting that Mike was playing thru a vintage looking old Standel amp. That was first time to hear one live,it sounded really good and was very nostalgic sounding,if that makes any sense. The only problem with Rays show is ,its only an hour long, and a man that has that many hits should be required by law to play atleast 6 hours straight. |

I saw Ray a few months back at the Stafford Center in Stafford, Texas...I must say it was a very memorable experience, gave me goose bumps everytime he started a song! Still a great voice! A voice that will never be matched! and one thing I noticed, was everyone was sharp dressed! Something you dont see now a days! Everyone needs to see Ray at least once! _________________ '74 Emmons D10 P/P 8x5,'15 Rittenberry D10 8x5, Peavey Nashville 112, 400 & 1000, Fender Twin Reverb Tone Master, Hilton, Goodrich L120, Boss DD-3 and RV-3 |

He sold out the Kennedy Center here a while back; we had seats two rows back from the stage in front of Mike. The show just doesn't last long enough; but then when you're having a great time it seems to just fly by. |

Sorry I missed that. I hadn't even heard they were coming to the Rio Grande Valley. |
