The last month, I have to relog onto Hotmail every other time or so, despite the fact that my logon info is stored. Anybody else annoyed with this, or have a fix? Thanks, JimP

I've had that problem ever since their last Beta update, with Windows XP. But, since upgrading to Vista and the Windows Live One Care (security suite) I no longer have the problem.

Jim;
Have you checked the radio box option -"Save my e-mail address and password" in the login box? Has your browser settings for cookies changed to delete them after the session expires? Have you chosen any option to remove tracks when closing your browser? Are you using a new security program that may be doing these things?

Wiz, it appears to be a Hotmail problem, rather than a user/PC problem. It started with the last Beta update. It doesn't matter if you check the box to remember the password it will still ask you for it.

ONLY after upgrading to Vista and the Windows Live One Care did it go away. They must have changed the log on to be Vista compatible and when they did, they caused the XP problem.

Jack;
Thanks for clarifying that it is a change to Hotmail itself that is causing cookie retention problems. Fortunately for me, I am grandfathered and am allowed to use Outlook Express to send and receive Hotmail messages. I rarely ever use my browser to visit Hotmail, and then it is only to manage my friends list or junk options.

This helps but doesn't completely solve the problem. At least now I don't have to login every single time I visit hotmail...just every other Wink
