| As I'm sure you're all painfully aware, I just got 6139 Sho Bud w/ round front, and knobs and toggle switch on the shelf. What was the original function of the toggle switch? The tech that is re-wiring the guitar was asking, as these had been bypassed years ago. I was hoping to find out soon enough to have the switch restored today. And again, many thanks to those that have helped me understand my 1st steel. (Something tells me ,not my last)........Joe |

| Joe, the toggle switch was probably a coil tap, which would give you two different resistance readings for your pickup, therefore, two different tonal qualities.... That's my guess. |

| Joe - on my early 70's rack and barrel, it's definitely a coil-tap. Email sent - you could come over and look at mine, it's wired stock. |

| Does anyone have a stock wiring diagram for a 6139? I have one with a George L's PF-1 and the switch bypassed. However, I'm flirting with the idea of taking it back to stock if I ever were to find an original-type pickup. |
