I got this axe from Bob Knight a few months back and I absolutely love it. I am currently playing with some guys and want to have the freedom of both necks again. This guitar has a great tone, I fell in love with it. I just wish it were a double neck! I would consider trades for a good double neck, trade+cash or trade even depending on what you have. I am accepting offers whether be cash or trade, drop me a line. bigbensteel@hotmail.com

Is this an Emmons?

The body, under carriage, changer, headstock and pad looks like something else than Emmons to me. Shocked

I`ve been wrong before tho`... Confused

Changer looks like a mid 70`s Sho Bud. Headstock looks to thick to be Emmons.

Maybe someone can tell us?

There's nothing up with this guitar, it's a very high quality "shop built steel".
I don't know who built it, but they done a fine job on it.
The Emmons components are obivous, as are the Sho-Bud. There are no "pot metal parts" on it.
The cabinet, end plates and key head appear to be custom to me.

I played this guitar over a year, it sounds and plays as good as anything I ever played.
It stays in tune and pulls very true.

Ben is a straight up guy to do business with.

Feel free to contact me if you have more questions.

My mid-70's Sho~Bud changer does not have adjustable springs - I wish it did. Sad

They're definitely Super Pro knee levers.

Looks like a nice guitar to me!

that is definitely the key-head that was on my Sho~Bud Super Pro. it's way more "stout" than the one on my Lashley Legrande.

The Emmons-type decal is an after-market non-Emmons creation of about 20 or so years ago. Not an official company logo.

My question about the logo was not meant as criticism of the guitars quality, I was just curious about the STEREO designation.
Thanks Herb.

Geesh, if I could have afforded our usual Myrtle Beach vacation for this year, I'd be grabbing this baby and picking it up personally! I bet it sounds real good, too.

Ben, how many raise/lowers does the changer have?

Charlie, I don't suppose you read any of the above posts before posting your reply. It's explained exactly "what" it is above.

Mike, I'm not really positive on the raises/lowers. I think Bob Knight would be the one to ask? He had the steel a lot longer than I did and knows more about it.

I have a buddy that has an Emmons Push Pull Stereo that once belonged to Bobbe Seymore. It has that same Emmons badge on it. I don't know how but this guitar together but it looks like they did a good job.
