Bo, that pic was from Buffalo in 1976 at the Club Utica. That is 30 years ago! Here is another halftone of the whole band. Me, Jimmy Kay, Sandy Konikoff and Wayne Stepus. Gigs were 9p-3a and my nose was resting on the strings by 2:30.
By the way my mother's maiden name is Feingold. |

Lemme guess if the MC from WXRL in that picture was a feller in a cowboy hat named Rambling Lou. |

Any of you Western New York hoods ever get to or play Dino's restaurant in Churchville? I was steeler there with the Innkeepers, circa 1976. |

Hey Jon, is that drummer the same Sandy Konikoff who played with John Cale, Garland Jeffries Grinderswitch, the Band, the Hawks and a bunch of Canadian rock and roll bands? |

I guess this has moved from the For Sale section. That was the same Sandy Konikoff. Sandy is still picking and giving lessons to some of Buffalo's best.
Not pictured, but Stan Szelest was with us frequently on his little 60 key upright. Stan was amazing with his left hand and always kept the drums and bass driving.
Jim, it interfered with water and snow skiing more than my residency. |

Ramblin' Lou Shriver,
He was with WWOL prior to WXRL (maybe WWOL became WXRL, can't remember)
Sat AM: Country Music, Sat PM: Polka stuff...
We put a lot of WWOL's music on 1/4" tape in 1963... |
