I'm not a big fan of Dixieland music, but I just learned that Alvino Rey recorded under the name Ira Ironstrings when he recorded for Warner, because he was under contract with some other recording company.

It made me think to enquire if any other pro players recorded under "other" names for whatever reasons?

My favorite album by ol' Ira was always "Music for People With $3.98".

That just sounds like a title Dick Cavett would have come up with! Laughing
