I’m looking forward to playing on this show! I have played at least three of these annual RISGA shows in past years, and I am always impressed by the warm sincerity of the club members and the folks attending the show. New president Marcia Rodrigues has done an excellent job of organizing and promoting club events. The Chuck Lettes seminar is a big bonus this year.

I want to confirm that I will be there and will play.I understand it is going to be limited on players.I will come up from Greeneville Tennessee and if someone else comes down from Maine,Vermont or a much better steel Player than me I will give up my time to play to let one of them play.I have no Problem with that.

I would like to add a few words about Chuck Lettes. I have taken two of his seminars and God willing plan to take this one also. Chucks' instructional material is excellent, his CDs make you feel like you are in the room with him, they are very informative. Chuck teaches with such a flair and his teaching is not only direct but he stretches it to the point of historical, giving you information about the artist and how/why he composed the arrangement. He shares information regarding other teaching medias to help learn, a true (retired) high school teacher. Whenever I have called or emailed him he has responded immediately, graciously and patiently.

I'm also looking forward to attending the RISGA's show. It is always nice when I can make it to the East Coast (I'm a Staten Island/Brooklyn native). Doug, I look forward to talking with you about the tablature program you use. Marcia and Chuck, thanks for the kind words about my teaching. John, it is always good to see you and the PSGA people. I hope you play Some Day Soon at the show. Thanks again for the invitation to play and to present my seminar.

Marcia,

Congratulations for promoting the music of the steel guitar, and its players. What appears to be a best ever upcoming show for RISGA, will generate much interest prior to the show. Your list of players, promises an afternoon of fun and excitement. I know that Doug Beaumier's tone on the steel guitar is unmatched to this day. His presentation is always a special treat for those who enjoy the best of steel guitar entertainment.

Bill,

Thank you for your kind words, but I cannot take credit for this alone. We have a great committee working hard on this show. I must thank them for all their work in putting this together so early.

Also, the members of this club and their dedication to the Steel Guitar only makes it that much easier for me.

Good work Marcia, I am thankful that you are proceeding with vigor. I am also looking forward to the show in Sept. I will try to sell tickets in advance to all my friends and neighbors, even though I have no friends and my neighbors don`t like me. Only kidding. Sam White and I should compete to see who sells the most tickets.

Hi Doug, I`ll be thinking of you playing steel guitar with Rachel this Sunday, Feb. 18, in Webster, Mass, while we conduct our RISGA quarterly meeting. Rachel has two strikes against her. 1.She is stealing Kerry Anderson, (Lead guitar/Pedal steel), from our meeting. 2. She plays in a lot of flat (b) keys.

Sorry Sam, but it looks like Manny will be getting a head start on your little bet here. Tickets are going to be distributed at tomorrows meeting, but don't you just love a challenge. Then again Manny does need the unfair advantage having no friends. Good Luck with your bet, I will be keeping tabs on the two of you.
