I tried a search for a previous post where one of these was the topic but had no luck, probably because I don't know what to search for. Does anyone here use one of these? If so, what are they called and where can they be purchased? I find that after I have played for sometime, my hand tires and the bar tends to become slanted underneath my fingers. I don't really notice it so much until I go up on the high end and my hand is struggling to stay perpendicular to the neck. Maybe there is an exercise I can do to strengthen my hold on the bar. I hate to give up my BJS. Thanks in advance for the info. Savell

What size bar do you use? How much do you play? I only ever got tired hand when I was slacking off on not playing enough.
Now I play about half hour a day in the week and about six hours on the weekend and my hand feels better than ever.I use a 3/4 bar and play some fast runs.
I woulden't get one of those things you could become reliant on it ,and how will you do slants with that ring in the way? And sit all the way to the right ,if not already.

They show up on ebay often for a starting bid of around 40.00. I have thought about one because of the arthritis but not bought one yet. I have been using a 1" bar because it is easier for me to hold and if it was offered with a 1" bar I probably would have already bought one.

......but I have a hard time seeing how my AB-AF-AB change with a very fast "shooting" of the bar between the gap index/middle and index/thumb and back again (one fret up and down) would work. Probably wouldn't.

You can take any bar that you have to a Jewler and have him fit and attach a ring to your bar
So you won't have to give up your favorite bar.

I have one of these Zip City ring bars on the way in 7/8 ". I'll sheepishly admit to, while at Chuck's site, ordering the double sided Roustabout. I also play dulcimer and dobro and this just looked like alot of fun. My wife says I'll try to play just about anything that will stand still. Yeah, I know, the ole' snake if it had ears to hold on to Laughing ..........Joe
