This number, "I Found A New Baby", features a steel guitar intro and solo by Bob Dunn ca. 1941. It also sounds like Jimmy Wyble on the guitar solo. Bob Dunn was probably playing his Electar Model M at this time. Check it out:

I have never heard of this guy, but he plays a "mean" guitar.
I enjoyed it and it is very impressive picking of those old strings.

I'm kind of a Bob Dunn fan. But most of the recordings I have of him (with Milton Brown) are so muddy it's hard to hear what he's doing. This was great. |

That's some hot playing. Thanks for sharing, Mike! _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

There is a box set of Milton Brown music that features a few better recordings of Bob Dunn where you can get a better idea of his playing style. He was inspired by trombones, which has affected my playing style somewhat... I played 'bone in school, so I started listening to some of it and emulating the better stuff I hear. |
