I've just put up three songs from Aaron Watson's new country-gospel CD. Ray Benson was producer, and he played guitar on a few of the tracks. Hope you enjoy!

Hi David,
Very nice picking, especially your C6th work on "Chunk of Coal." I like the live group sound. I'm enjoying the new CD, and I'm glad to hear some Texas-style music, very refreshing nowadays. Hope you're doing well.

David: I really enjoyed visiting your site and listening to the tunes you had posted. I especially liked the clean intonation on the ones you recorded in your home studio. Great job. Post more! |

Thanks guys for the great compliments. Ron, "Long Vacation" was a lot of fun to record. I played on the C6 neck until the outro of the song, where I switched over to E9, to get the really fast stuff.
By the way, we're scheduled to start recording Aaron's next CD in March, for release later this fall. It's supposed to be a double CD, with about 30 songs, and Aaron promises it will feature lots of steel! |
