Hi Bob,
Hey, they sound pretty good. Just keep encouraging him to keep playing. I played lead in our churches youth band for about 5 years so I can relate. It was a lot of fun. I kept waiting for some young kid to get up there to replace me but it never happened. I learned to play lead on the fly, listen to cd's, learn the lead parts, and hope it comes out OK!! Last year our church sent many of us out to start a new church in the area. I'm now playing lead in our worship band there. With learning new material and getting together to practice once a week that doesn't leave a whole lot of time for the steel but, I'm managing some time anyway. That's great that your son is playing in church. In this world of addiction to TV and video games, it's encouraging to see some of our youth applying themselves to music.
