Yesterday, I was given a 1927 "Jacob's Orchestra Montrhly Magazine". Lots of interesting ads. Has anybody ever heard of REID & LAMAR in this LYON & HEALY advertisement!!!! We'll see if Keoki Lake responds with he was just playing an Edison cyllinder of them last week!!!!! George

Sorry George...I was still in my mother's imagination, or at best in diapers when the infamous R-L-R trio of Reid, Lamarr and Rout were so famous...Too bad this picture showed only the two of them ! Wink

Man, those Washburn's must have had a mighty powerful sound for them to make the claim of equalling a trombone ! I kinda have my doubts on that statement.

I guess Reid and Lamarr are long make' by now. However, luckily we're still blessed with the FINESTof the trio...(Rout)....whom I think must be approaching 120 years of age by now. Razz Luv ya George !
