I'm getting ready to replace the pick ups on my MSA Classic D-10. I've done this in the past with an Emmons guitar but the way these are mounted is different. On the MSA...the pick ups are mounted to a metal plate and I'm not a 100% sure but does anyone know if these plates are mounted with the screw located just behind the pick ups? Thanks for any help on this issue.

john,
i just replaced my pickup in my msa sd-10 classic. it's not that hard. you will notice that there is two screws to lower an raise the
pickup but, there is a third screw in the pickup block to. remove all three screws and lift the pickup out. turn the pickup over and you see that there is two screws holding the pickup remove the pickup
bracket from the pickup and attach the new pickup the same way
depending on what pickup you use also, leave enough wire for the
pickup about 7" inch.... hope this helps. i think russ weaver can help too.

I certainly appriciate your help on this matter Paul.....I have been around the steel guitar since about 1977...I don't play professionaly but the steel guitar is my life. I had replaced pickups in an Emmons about 15 years ago and I was lucky to find this MSA Classic D-10 for sale at the Carter company 2 years ago and I am a little at a time getting it back in excellent condition. I use a recording software and the Band in a Box to make my rhythm tracks. Again...thanks for your help. John McGlothlin
