Not that it matters to the buyer, but they are protected under US copyright laws and international treaties - even if not specifically stated anywhere in the text.

And I'm sure Fran will get a kick out of seeing me post this. She still thinks I'm a pirate.

Public domain eh? I should buy them up and copyright them.

I looked at some of mine and didn't see anything about copyright. Of course, my pages are pretty stuck together from the house fire. I could probably stand to buy all yours to replace mine.

But like I said, it doesn't matter about the copyright. It's not like anyone is going to copy them anyway.

Good luck.

SGI Newletter was published by Scotty's Music back in the 1980s and early '90s.

There was a notice on the title page of every issue that stated something to this effect: This Newsletter is not copyrighted, and anyone may... (use? quote? reproduce?) ...anything in the newletter. All we ask is that you give credit to Steel Guitar International.

Hmmm... If I could open mine, I'd probably see that. They're all stuck together with smoke and water from the fire. I've been keeping them around thinking that someday I would soak them, open them up, snap some pictures of each page and store them on my computer. Just never got around to it.

Incidentally, seems like I remember Doug B. replacing one of the books I got from him at little or no charge after the fire. Nice guy he is.
