Keith, you'd need at least 15 1/8" x 6 1/4" clearance. Your FBJ only has about 14 1/2"(width)at the most, and the cabinet depth towards the top is rather shallow too .. A JBL 15 just won't fit.
My advice: Either get an extension cabinet built to match your FBJ. OR, a larger combo cabinet might be a better idea.
If your friend can't build it, let me know, I'll build you one.

From reading past threads on the Forum, the K130 is a guitar speaker with more mids and highs. The K140 is a bass speaker with slightly less range, but some like it for it's warmth. |

I have found that the cutout for front-loading the JBL needs to be 14-1/16" diameter, slightly larger than most other 15s. _________________ David Spangler |

I agree with David on the K130 to K140. I have a D140 and find it seems to have more warmth than the D130. Still doesnt lose too much highs. I like JBL's sounds......al. _________________ Michigan (MSGC)Christmas Dinner and Jam on my 80th Birthday.
