I have Quicktime installed only because I have an IPOD. If I replaced it with the alternative Quicktime could I still do all the IPOD stuff? |

Gary:
I have never used an Ipod, but I would guess you would do fine with Quicktime alternative.
I use Quicktime alternative with Apple's I-Tunes player to play back mp3s without any problems. You could always reinstall the real Quicktime if it didn't work out. |

Fellas,
Can you use QT or alt.QT to UPLOAD songs to an Apple iPOD?
I have a friend who comes over with his new Apple iPOD and wants many of the songs I have on file, but I have to install iTunes in order to upload any music. I don't care to keep iTunes on my PC (around 50MB) and installing/uninstalling is a chore.
I already have QT on the PC, and so that is why I'm asking.
Thanks all. _________________ Chip

I don't know for sure, but from what I've seen, on other forums, you must have the iTunes program. |

I think you're right, Jack. Guess I'll just have to grin and bear it.
BTW, thanks, also, for the tip on QTAlternate in another thread. I went and removed regular QT, and installed the alternate version. I feel much better for this. _________________ Chip
