Pick ONE. Consider not only the player's sound, technique, recordings, etc, but also his influence in bringing the steel guitar to a wider audience. Sorry if I left anyone out... I'm sure there are a lot of fine current players, but the players above are the ones that come to mind at the moment. Wink

Me too. That list, with the exception of RR, looks like a list of top "Country-Rock", not "Rock" steel guitarists. There is a difference! I'd vote for Joey Wright.
