The starting price ($9.99) was the right price. |

That tone bar looks like it's made of Catalin, which was used to make radios, jewelry, household utensils and all sorts of other things. Just about everything made of Catalin is very collectable and really brings a big price, especially radios. I've seen some small table models made in the 40s and 50s priced in the $5000-$7000 range.
I bought a bar just like the one on Ebay about 10 years ago for about $25, which I thought was too much at the time. I guess I was wrong. |

I've got one too. The surface of catalin bars is better than many plastics, but it's no black raja. |

If the sustain is satisfactory, that's about the maximum I would go. I'm not familiar with this particular bar, however I do have a few others of non-metal. Some have very little sustain. My favorite is the Zirc. |
