The 2006 Shenandoah Valley Hawaiian Steel Guitar Summit
Because of some pretty outrageous "liability insurance" needed to cover the Clarke County Fairgrounds for 6 hrs ...
I am now having it at as a "private" event at home ...
All SGF & HSGA members ... of course ... are welcome to come ...
No admission or "passin' the hat" ... It's on The Boob ...
I'm sellin' this double neck to pay for the event
The "Pros" will probably start around 2 pm ... Saturday, April 8 ...
Email me for more info ...

Wow, Rick -- that sure is one beautiful place you have there. Did you build your house yourself (i.e., with your own hands)? It looks fantastic. Knowing how incredibly enterprising and industrious you are, you did. I guessing the party will move out around that cool firepit as the sun falls.
Man, what a beautiful setting to host a steelers weekend. I'm way down here in Florida, and if I didn't have gigs Thursday night until Monday night, I'd head up for that in a heartbeat. I would definitely be on my best behaviour though. Sure would not want to tangle with your head of security -- he apparently shows NO mercy towards rowdiness!
Please post pics, and if you have a way of documenting any of the event through audible means, please do!

Just make sure you have your LOWER set of masticators in good working order in case we happen upon some steaks. LOL!! [This message was edited by Harry Dietrich on 03 April 2006 at 01:14 PM.] [This message was edited by Harry Dietrich on 03 April 2006 at 01:23 PM.] |

I can't take credit for erectin' that ...
The home was all my wife's doin' ... not a kit, a specialist contractor and giant freakin' logs trucked across country from Idaho ...
She wants "river rock" stones placed on the above ground basement ... but every time we save up some $$$ for it ... she gets pregnant again ...
Anyway ... Harry ... I had the septic pumped and cleaned a few days ago ...
And there are Black Angus cattle all around here ...

Rick,
Place looks great, now if you could just put up a wind sock so I can put her down safely. That helipad looks a little close to the house. ![](http://steelguitarforum.com/smile.gif) |

Have you been able to determine how that's happening? You may want to have the county come out and check yer water...

Will it be necessary for me to come in a few days early and give everything the white glove inspection?

quote: I think Howard is in for a bit of culture shock.
Do you have a patch of concrete for him to stand on?
As much as I love the city, all that city culture makes one rather stuffy & pompous.
I love getting out to open country where I can kick back & relax.
