This is my brand new Mullen which just arrived today. Three pedals and five knee levers( Emmons set up with a B to Bb vertical). This thing is KILLIN'! My old Emmons is sweet but this guitar is just absolutely unbelievable. Okay, nuff said...I'm going back to play it now! |
Congrats, Del sure builds a fine instrument, and I'm sure you are going to love yours. |

Congratulations Mike !! That's a fine looking guitar and I know how good it sounds. I've played a Mullen guitar for sometime now using the Evans amp. Both are my choice. Curt |

Thanks alot Calvin, Lee, and Curt. I would like to mention that I bought this guitar from Al Brisco at Steel Guitars of Canada. In addition to being a top steel player, Al is a great guy and a real pleasure to do business with. His shop has lots of steel goodies. Check out the link below to Steel Guitars of Canada.

Looks nice, Mike!
I like the crinkled finish on the pedal bar. Very functional: it won't show scratches like a polished finish will. And I bet it cuts down on the problem of stage spotlights reflecting off of it and annoying some unluckly person in the audience. That's good, thoughtful design. |

I bought a used Mullen back in the 80's... It was a SD-12 and the best guitar I'd owned to that date.
Before I'd had 3 Sho-Buds which all had the tuning barrel system.
The Mullen had the same system but was so much better to play and lack of loose action (Slop) in the pedal and knees.
I know the guitars he makes now are way better than that was, but I sure it will keep you happy for a long time.
He is really a good builder. |

Having this thing makes me want to play and practice all the time. The guitar looks gorgeous, sounds beautiful, and is easy to play, and that's all anyone could ask for in a guitar.<<
Mike, no one is allowed to be that happy. If you spend all that time with your Steel practicing it might ruin your marriage..so Pack up that Steel and send it to me...I'll pay the shipping. I'm always trying to help a fellow Steelman...LOL
P.S. Mullen's are great Steels |

Thanks Brad, but I'm not married, and don't have any plans of
changing that anytime too soon.... My girlfriend however really likes my steel.... <<
Mike, let me correct you, you are married, your mind and soul are married to that beautiful instrument you just acquired..without it, you would never be happy..glad to hear that your girlfriend likes music..you have the best of both worlds.
