Here's a fine career retrospective video done on the occasion of Sneaky Pete's Lifetime Achievement Award (LA Music Awards 2005).

What an incredible artist.

Thanks Greg, That was really nice to see. I didn't realize that Sneaky also worked on Davey and Goliath, I used to watch that every Sunday morning before going to church. I recently saw that most of them have been re-released on DVD, will have to get them for my kids.

Very cool montage. Sneaky was certainly one of my heroes. It's funny, many of us loved his signature phased sound, but nobody's adopted it (that I know of). Yet, thousands of us try to play the classic Nashville sound. I met him a few times and interviewed him for Tom Bradshaw's steel magazine, and he was always insightful and a gentleman. RIP Sneaky.

This man was truly a special talent. He walked to his own beat and created a style of steel guitar all of his own. Bravo Mr. Kleinow. Bravo, bravo!

Thanks Greg for this post. The Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers were before my time but I can truly appreciate what Sneaky Pete has done for steel guitar and lovers of the instrument. It was interesting to learn that Pete was from South Bend, Indiana, so am I.

Rest In Peace Sneaky Pete,
