It seems that when you want a clean tone and want to use the
tube emulator your noise floor goes way up and you don't have
as much gain as your regular amp does.. What it seems is that
my 100 watt tube amp is louder without the TTF as a pre amp
on the quiet clean settings. What I want to do is get a clean sound
with some delay and reverb at the same level my tube amp
is putting out. I don't see a way to do that .. anyone know the
trick for this Peavey TTF. Its a good unit for rock'in out though
plenty of gain . I had to lower the global settings to keep the
levels even ..
Thanks

I had a TranstTube Fex and had to use the "noise gate" or it was too noisy at a useable gain level. Probably the same thing on the Tube Fex.

I have some programs on my web site and they include the noise gate. You can look at those and copy the noise gate parameters and add that to your program and see if it makes a difference. The noise gate is the last "effect" in the chain.

For those who may not know .. The TransTubeFex sometimes
does not remember your settings when you push save..
Once I reset the patch and hit save again the volume problems I had magicly dissapeard.. Maybe only a glich on that one patch I set up especialy for the Steel clean.
All is well now. Thanks for all your help out there.
