I have a couple of Peavey MX hybrid amps that I was curious about, when they were made, etc. These little monsters have about 120 watts or so of power and have 4 6L6 power tubes with everything else solid state. They also have a 12" Black Widow speaker in them. I'd contacted Peavey a couple of years ago to see about a foot switch as the connection had an XLR type connection but smaller with holes for pins in the plug. Peavey didn't stock them anymore as these amps were about 25 years old. They went to their old specs and took another current footswitch with the same connector and rewired it to to what the MX switch did and even relabled it for the correct functions. What's even better was that it was only a little over a week after I called them and the price was very minimal. A few days ago I emailed them to see about a little history on these amps and a little tech info. Today I got some info about the time frame these were made, why they didn't make them anymore (slow sales) and they even gave me a link to where I could download a manual and operating guide which I just did. Thanks again Peavey and I'll be using your stuff as long as I'm able to play.............JH in Va.
