It looks like a Guild lap steel.
I'd guess it was made by Harmony based on the pickup, but it's awfully hard to tell from the photos. The opening bid is about as high I would pay for such a thing without hearing it played, but I'm sure it will get some bids. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

The headstock looks like it might be a Danelectro with "Guild" added. The name "Guild" shows up now and then on off-brand guitars, and this could conceivably be a Guild prototype, but laps were never marketed by Guild (the formerly respected brand now getting Fendered--sorta like Epiphone getting Gibsoned). _________________ Steel crazy after all these years.

Michael,
Do you know if Regal put the name "Guild" on it? If this was made before 1953 (when Guild started) then the name "Guild" could just have a cool sounding name chosen for marketing, like "Zephyr" etc. _________________ Steel crazy after all these years.
