Anyone know the string spacing on the Epi Zephyrs? This one's from '42, and they look a bit narrow. Of course, that might be just the pic. I'm guessing 3/8", but don't have a clue.
Also, does anyone have a guess of what general market value on one of these should be? Is $500-600 too high? Worth more than that?
Thanks!

Price sounds reasonable, but the string spacing on these is kinda tight. Almost all the early 8 strings seem kinda tight but it's fairly easy to get used to. Nice guitar! |

beautiful steel you have there.
I am the proud owner of a 1940 Epi Zephyr six string. I had the pickup rewound by Lindy fralin; it roars now.
a fine guitar Epis. I have never seen an eight string. lucky you.
3/8" string spacing seems to be the norm for Epis. My 39 Epi Century has the exact spacing as my other model.
500-600 is a very fair price for an eight string in that good of condition.
I paid 350 for mine. |
