Ok guys, here's the first.
I have posted a video from 1994 International Steel Guitar Convention of Jimmy Day playing "Pick Me Up On Your Way Down"
Every one of you let Scotty know how grateful we are for allowing this.

Thanks so much for sharing this video with us. Seeing Jimmy Day's right hand in motion was a dream come true!
For the next one, how about a ballad ? I would really love to see his vibrato.

Thanks to Bill and Scotty...it was fun to watch, a great lesson in many ways; keeping the melody alive, the limited use of knee levers and I'm sure several more items I haven't caught up to yet. What a treat. Thanks again. |

Roger, I'm part of the new generation and certainly do know what I missed ..........and it breaks my heart. My biggest regret about not taking up the steel earlier is missing the chance to see Jimmy Day and maybe even shake his hand.
Bill, thank you so much for posting this video. It's absolutely awesome to watch him play on such good quality video. |

It just can't be beat. I'm 69 and can't get enough. Just wish there was more of it now.

Absolutely love it! My thought after viewing and listening to Jimmy's performance of this song is: "class with a honky tonk edge"! This is the exact kind of presentation and playing that I have always found so inspiring. Thanks to Bill & Scotty for making this available.
