Does anyone know which tunings Jules used?
Did he ever play a pedal steel guitar?

Jules knew a lot of tunings, but primarily used C13, E13, and B11. |

Yes, yes Derrick and what he got out of those tunings no other steel guitarist was ever able to achieve. IMHO
I love to hear at one time or another all of the steel guitarists from Hawaii and their various styles, but Jules for me is where the core of my Hawaiian music tastes lie.

Two of my favorite tunes that Jules plays are "Mauna Kea" and "My Rose of Waikiki." I believe he uses the D-9th tuning on the 2nd tune. The unique thing about his playing on "My Rose Of Waikiki" is that he plays approximately 75 harmonics in a row on this tune.
