As a newbie, I just found the Joe Wright site above which has a lot of free instructional stuff that shows examples of his approach. This is good not just because you get free tips from beginning to advanced, but because you get an idea of the method.
It was because folks on this forum mentioned Joe a lot that i looked him up, and I think his stuff will work for me. This is also how I found the other instructional stuff that worked for me: Bobbe, Herby, Erv, and Jeff. But Joe's examples are even more specific, so I have more to go on.
Are there are sites out there that give you examples of their instruction?

This is exactly what I'm talking about. You see how he does it. Also he has stuff on dobro that I didn't know about.
Any relation to Rob Stoner the bassist? |

Darryl, no relation that I know of. I'm originally from the Harrisburg, Pa area and have a lot of Stoner relations in that area.
I have a brother in Sacremento but none of his kids are musicians. |

Lawrence,
Thanks for the tip. I can tell he's original, not just rehashing every other method. One thing he says is that to learn pedals and knees, practice without the bar. |

Please delete this post. I edited the post above that this post corrected. I just saw on the newbie guide how to edit previous posts. Is there a way to delete ones like this myself? [This message was edited by Darryl Hattenhauer on 02 December 2005 at 08:57 PM.] |
