| Can anyone who has used it, please comment on Cindy Cashdollars DVD "Dobro Variations" ? Sounds like it has some interesting stuff on it. Also, where it can be purchased for the least amount of dough? Thanks, steve t |

| I found her Dobro variations to be one of her best courses. Expecially if you are interested in alternate tunings and minor exercises. |

She shows things in 6th tunings and some tunings if I remember correctly.
As far as comparing next to Heffernan, it is apples and oranges. Cindy focuses what she does on specific tunes, so you learn steel guitar rag for instance on her material. Heffernana is much more lick focused. I would recommend both. |

I have the "Dobro Variations" tape. I got some good things out of it. Like Bill said, it's probably best for someone who wants to get outside the standard dobro repertoire.
Two tunes are in alternate tunings: "Panhandle Rag" in the G6 and a rockabilly tune in Open D. Two are in standard dobro tuning: "Minor Swing" (a good example of playing a "gypsy jazz" tune in a harmonic minor key) and "Faded Love" (some good accompaniment ideas). I got the most out of "Minor Swing" and "Faded Love" examples.
