A BUDDY OF MINE IN NOVA SCOTIA ACQUIRED THIS HAWAIIAN GUITAR. CAN ANYBODY IDENTIFY IT PLEASE? THE PICTURE HAS BEEN UPLOADED KINDLY BY BASIL IN THE THREAD JUST BELOW. GEO

recently I saw a guitar quite similar to that.
it had a raised nut so it was a lap style slide guitar. cant remember if it had a sq neck.
the guitar I saw was an old Regal from the late thirties.
it had the same inlay around the sound hole but the bridge was very different fromm the distinctive bridge you have pictured.

It looks to be a Regal from Chicago made in the early '30s. The bridge is the work of Boselli who worked for Regal before venturing out with luthier Joseph Zorzi in 1934. I've seen this model with both square and round neck profiles.
