Hello Ian, and welcome. It's great to have a musician of your caliber come on board. I've heard some of your steel and standard guitar playing, and hope this means there will be more from time to time!

Ian,

You've finally made it here, great! Welcome aboard. I look forward to your perspectives, comments, wisdom and your extremely dry wit. I'm sure you'll have no problem jumping into the fray.

Forumites:
I've spent many an hour with Ian... don't let him fool you, he's not that gentle . An amazing musician, yes, gentle???

Listen to Ian. Wow!

Aloha and welcome aboard. This can't be as intimidating as playing as playing at a steel guitar convention.

Aloha Ian -- I like your playing on the HSGA board a lot. Your style and vibrato really remind me a LOT of my friend Dick Sanft's playing.

Glad you're here on the board!

Glad to see you here my good friend.

I'm obviously outside of the loop........So I have to show my ignorance by asking:

WHO is "Ken Ufton, England's foremost exponent of Hawaiian Style Steel Guitar, who now lives in Canada"? Any relation?

Thanks for your wonderful contributions.

Thanks guys , I appreciate the warm welcome and kind comments .
A few of you have asked about my father Ken [ yes Ray he is ], and as most of you know he was regarded as one of the best that England produced back in the 40,s and 50,s. He is still doing well for 84 yrs.old , sharp as a razor--- wish the body was the same . He still plays a little but arthritis doesn,t help as some of you know. I will pass on the inquiries --- better still I,ll print the replies .
Ian K.
PS The "Mr. Rythm" comment made me smile Jeff
