Keith . This is a nice unit . It is the Music City Mfg . Co .brand . I think it is a Sho~Bud . But what do i know . It works great with no scratchy controls . Gary .

It is a distortion box to connect to the endplate of the guitar.

David it is used to simulate the fiddle sound using two unision strings . I hope this helps . Gary .
