mean-tuff-slik! is a chemical composition i blend specifically for pedal steel guitarists..use one drop!....yes 1 drop or less...on rivets,axels,metal quick releases, fulcrum/pivot points,etc. anywhere metal rubs against metal! laboratory tested/approved///field tested/verified..can't even grind(applicable metal to metal contact)compound out of metal!compound is not a coating! compound re-structures micropores of metal! technical questions? direct them to blender...wewawheeler@yahoo.com references? the very best! to view other items...www.ktsprosound.net click lee wheeler..scroll down as always..percentage of sales to bObs forum..gladly!

I'm believe he means that the compound will actually fill in the micro pores of the metal to achieve a near perfectly flat surface (plane),in which the friction(resistance) will be greatly decreased, resulting in much less metal to metal wear. Think of the way synthetic oils (Mobil One) will isolate the piston rings from the cylinder wall of an engine by becoming a barrier between the two.
