I've got parts kits available for the Metzger Reverb Mod for the Peavey Nashville 400 amp. This mod really improves the reverb in this amp alot. The mod is posted free here on the SGF but some of the part values may be difficult to source for players so I've made up a bunch of kits for mail-order at $20 each, shipping, taxes included. It's an easy beginner's mod, taking about a half-hour to 45 minutes to do and it makes a big difference in the sound of this amp. Email me if you want to buy a parts kit.

This is a great mod. I have done this mod to three Nashvilles with the factory mods. It makes them sound like a real powerful Fender Twin. It makes the Peavey reverb sound like Fender reverb. That is a good price on the parts too.

Gary,
That was my goal when I started out re-voicing the reverb of the NV 400: to make it more Fenderesque.

Bob,
I understand the Nashville 112 reverb is very similar to the Nashville 400. Will your kit work in the 112 as well? Also, I installed the John Lemay mod in my 400 a few years ago. Is your kit compatable with that mod? Maybe it has nothing to do with it at all, but I just thought I'd better ask anyway.

I think this a question that's best addressed to Peavey.
What about it, Mike Brown: Do the Nashville 400 the the Nashville 112 have exactly the same reverb circuit?
My reverb mod is completely compatible with the LeMay Miracle Audio Mod for the Nashville 400, as well as the Peavey Tone Enhancement Mod. Those are preamp mods; my mod is for the reverb circuit, which is a different part of the amp circuitry.

Many people have inquired about my reverb mod, wondering if it would work in their model Peavey amp. This mod is designed expressly for the Peavey Nashville 400 amp (It will work in any and all NV 400 amps, 1983 to 1999). It will also work in these Peavey amps: LA 400, Jazz Classic, and Rhythm Master 400. (These amps have the same reverb circuit as the Nashville 400). Most other Peavey amps have completely different reverb circuits, so this mod will not work with any others than the above mentioned amps. I don't have any plans right now for designing mods, reverb or otherwise, for any other Peavey amp. Why I created this mod was because I have a NV 400 (I'm a steel player) and I didn't care for the reverb sound and I knew it could be improved upon.

Placed an order for the reverb mod yesterday.
Forgot to ask though, you do include instructions, right?

Yes, I do include the instructions with the Reverb Mod Kit and they are also posted here at SGF (search the archives - there are two posts to read, titled 'Reverb Brightening Mod - NV 400' in the Electronics section).
