Soon to be California-inian Kay Das has recorded another steel tune with his one-of-a-kind Steelocaster steel guitar.

This time Kay does a wonderful version of the 1950's Platter's tune 'Only You'.

Great job Kay, those 1950's pop tunes fall so well on the steel.

Hey Kay, that was great. That new Steelcaster seems to be a "fit" for you. Nice job. When are you coming to California?

Great choice of material, Kay. What a great tone you'e getting onto "tape", too!

Beautiful sound, Kay. That Steelcaster is really unique, as befits your unique sound.

Gratefully received, thanks for the encouragement, I find the Steelocaster to be very "live" and responsive to picking with the right hand due to the three pick-ups. And responsive to nuances in glissando with the left hand due to the longer neck.

Seems like composers in the 40s and 50s had steel guitar sub-consciously (or consciously?) in mind. My all-time favourite tune for steel guitar is "Stardust". What's yours?
