The last few EH-150 (6 string) have sold for over $1K on eBay. A '36 sold two days ago for $1800 but it truly was in mint condition including the OHSC. Your 7 string will bring a premium. |

Among my collection I also have an EH-150, seven string Gibson.
What I find interesting about the guitar is the fact that the 7th string is not intended as a bass string, the nut is grooved for a high string and evidently intended to be used for a 6th, 7th or such. Maybe the 1st chromatic tuning?

I have been playing a seven string like that for a few weeks now, that I repaired/rebuilt.(it was in BAD shape) But it works good now. It has a tone that I hadn't really heard before, and I can't seem to put it down. Not a lot of sustain, but wonderful tone.
Not sure of the year. |

Erv, my 1936 7 string was set up the same way. Al Dodge also has his 7 string tricone set up the same way as well, as a G7 tuning. |

John,
Yes, I just found it to be kind of unusual. But I understand that when pedal steelers first started to experiment with a chromatic tuning, the chromatic notes were put on the bottom and later moved to the top. ie Buddy Emmons
