The ten-string pickups have been sold and I'm pulling the eight- string pickups.

==========================================

I have two 8-string Fender pickups and two 10-string Fender pickups for sale. These are left-over stock from the string instrument repair shop I ran in Texas in the 1960’s, and are labeled “Pedal Steel” – although I don’t recall which model. They are not “string through” pickups, but are wound on a regular bobbin like most under-the-strings types. These are original Fender pickups that I acquired around 1966. They are in mint condition and have never been installed on any instrument. I will take $75.00 each for them, or if you want all four, I’ll take $250.00 for the lot. Descriptions follow: If you want any of them, designate the letter A, B, C or D from the following list.

A.
8 String
7.63 K Ohms
2 ½ inches from center of 1st pole piece to center of 8th pole piece

B.
8 String
7.66K Ohms
2 ½ inches from center of 1st pole piece to center of 8th pole piece

C.
10 String
9.04 K Ohms
3 ¼ inches from center of 1st pole piece to center of 10th pole piece

D.
10 String
9.57 K Ohms
3 ¼ inches from center of 1st pole piece to center of 10th pole piece

These pickups are being sold on a first-come-first-served basis based on emails making firm commitments. I will email photos upon request. My email address is RoyAyres@earthlink.net

Pay Pal or Money Order required.

Thanks
Roy

Jody,

I'm too old to be taking pictures this time of night. I'll get my photographer (Laurie) to shoot some j-pegs tomorrow.

Keep your eye trained on this thread. I'll announce the release of promo pics soon.

Bill,

All 4 of the pickups are the narrow type -- 1/2 inch wide. All from about 1966.

Jody,

Thanks for the information. I knew that -- I just couldn't think of it! (They say the memory is the second thing to go!)

Per Berner:

Ten-stringer "D" is on its way. Thanks for the quick payment via Pay Pal. You should have it in under a week (Sweeden is a long way from here!)

The pickups numbered A, B abd C are still available.

Pickups # A, B and D have been sold. Pickup # C is still available.
=======================================
Edited to say that the buyer of pickups A and B (the 8 string pickups) changed his mind, so they are still available.

I have pictures that I can email anyone who is interested.

I plan to close this thread on Monday January 24, 2005 and any remaining pickups will be packed away again. They are 50 years old and in mint condition, and their value should continue to rise with age and inflation.

Roy
