I purchased a GFI seat which was posted by Bobby Boggs as worth the $ 150.00 he ask for it. When it arrived I soon learned the truth. It is worth maybe
75. Pressboard bottom, loose clamps, squeeks like a
pig when you sit it and bottoms out on the top.
It just was not what was offered as " a good one"
Bobby refuses to take it back. He will not stand behind his sales.

I'm sorry Scott that you had a poor experience buying from Bobby. I bought a Fessenden from him last December and it arrived exactly as advertised, if not in better shape than advertised. I found him to be an honest guy. I sincerely hope that the two of you can work it out.

I bought a GFI seat from Bobby earlier this year and it was great, I don't see what can really go wrong with them - unless it's all beat up. Gene fields builds a great product and Bobby treated me great. If it's one that has a built in back rest, I'll take if off your hands. |

Here's a link to the piece of crap Scott bought from me.The seat had a little squeek but so does both my personal seats.I added a little foam rubber where the legs fold.Pretty much took care of the problem for me.No I do not offer a warranty on used pack seats..I asked Scott to send me a picture of the alleged broken seat. When I would not refund his money he decided to try and damage my character. So here he is.

I Have worked around gear all my life starting with
"Bud Driver" the Fender rep in northern california in the mid 60's so when I recieve a peice of gear with these kinds of problems I know what I'm talking about.
It seems others on the forum are happy with all the
purchases made with Bobby Boggs and maybe I am the only one who has a problem here.. but the fact of the matter is that this seat has a faulty bottom. It
is loose from the box frame and the bolts are abrading the press board. I want to say I purchased this item from the pictures Bobby posted and was happy to pay the asking price. Is it too much to request a refund upon return of this item when it is found out to be defective? You tell me. that is all i am requesting here.

Scott the seat did not leave here in the condition you describe.
Now I have to be careful here.I'm not accusing anyone of anything.[/b]But if someone sold me a seat and I found out I could buy a brand new Walker seat for 80 bucks more.I really wanted a new Walker. But I was stuck with the seat I had bought on the Forum.I could try and get a refund by saying the seat squeaks and cushion gives when I sit on it.The problem, this guy will not give a refund no matter how much I threaten him.So I could set the seat up.Then jump up and down on it with both feet.Yeah that'll break one.I'm not saying this happened.I would never do this. But that would be a good way to break a seat. Thanks for taking the time to read this.regards Bobby[This message was edited by Bobby Boggs on 06 November 2004 at 11:02 PM.] |

I can see I am getting no where with my requests on this issue. There is no way out you dont trust what i say is true and I can get no satisifaction on this sale.
so be it. you are done with me.
Kind of a sad state of affairs when you can't even count on a brother steeler to do the right thing. In my opinion if it was my sale I simply would have taken it back and refunded the money. A simple and honorable end. All this other speculation is meaningless. I have never defrauded anyone over any purchase. Where has all this mistrust come from? simply stated I get to eat this one.

The GFI seat is in the hands of the lord. This could be a simple case of Fed Ex damage no one really
knows at this time. B0b please close this thread. I release any requests of Bobby Boggs and to anyone reading this last post on the subject good luck.

I have delt with Scott in the past
on a speaker cabinet. I can vouch
for his character. He was very
prompt with his payment and was
patient waiting for his cabinet.
Sometimes its easy to misunderstand
what is being bought or sold.
I always give my customers the
benefit of the doubt. Just my
opinion.

I cannot take sides in this situation as it would not be appropriate. I do, however, wish to comment on the word pressboard as it can be thought of as particle board which consists of not much more than sawdust. The bottom of the GFI seat is wafer board, large chips, and designed for roof decking. It is much stronger than particle board and most plywoods. It is also dadoed, glued, and stapled in place with 1" staples. |

Just a thought. |
