Topic: help me find my dobro!! |

i would like to find out who made my dobro model, year, date of manufacture...etc so far it seems near impossible to find the info. your help will be greatly appreciated. the serial # is d2051530. its probably 90's or maybe even recent 2000's. probably a gibson. it has dark sunburst finish w/f-holes and case with 'dobro'on the side....carson

I'm pretty sure it's 2002.
I believe the serial number indicates: wood body, 2002, 5th month, 15th day, 3rd instrument that day.
Or it could mean 5th month, 1st day, 53rd instrument that day! Not sure about that, but the year looks like 2002. The serial number does not indicate the model, just the date of production.

I'm pretty sure that Doug's first description is correct -- a 2002 wood body, completed on May 15.
All the guys I know who have dated Black Widows have disappeared from the forum ... |
