Mike just wanted to say thanks for playing such good steel guitar yesterday at Legends Corner in Nashville TN.
Yesterday was a special day. I got married at the Ryman and then as you know we were at Legends for the reception.
What a day and to have a reception at Legends with you on steel was awesome.
Whether you know it or not it meant alot to me.
If anyone hasn't checked out Mike or his muisc you owe it to yourselves to do so.

Tommy,

First, Congratulations!, second, thanks for all your kind words. I'm glad I was able to be a part of such a special day for you even in such a small way. I'm sorry I couldn't ask you to sit in with the guys but James doesn't let us do that on Saturdays. What are you doing up so early????? Ha, ha, ha!!!

Congratulations Tommy and Bride.
Yep, Big Mike is probably one of the most underrated steelers in the business. I just wish he would be able to participate in more of the major shows. At least Scotty's last year's get together allowed some of the folks to witness what I'm shooting my mouth off about.

Hey Texas Meeting execs, are you listening? I would bet some of us would like to hear more of this FULL TIME MUSICIAN.

I agree with Fred. I would like to see Mike at the Texas Show, and I have heard the same comment from many Texas steelers, and from those that attend the Dallas show.

Well, rumor has it that Mike will be at the second annual ASGA Steel Show in Birmingham. We're securing dates and location now. Hope to announce by weeks end. I believe Mike may also be conducting a seminar.

Yep, I have spent too many hours at Legends Corner listening to Mike playing with James Gees & the Route 3 Band. Great band, great steeler and a fun local.

Hey Mike, I'm still over here trying to get thru all of your CD's hee hee! I got a box set of Mike's Cd's about 3 months ago and it's taking me a while to get thru all of them because they all sound so good I have to listen to them 3 or 4 times before I go on to the next one.

If you don't have any of Mike's CD's you better get over to his web site right now and buy them all. I've known Mike longer than we'd both like to admit probably and each Cd I listen to just gets better. I made sure and had him put them in chronological order so I could see his progression over the years. He helped me get them in order and then I marked each one with a number so no matter where they ended up I'd know which one was which.

Mike keep up the good playing I love you and Theresa I get some pretty funny stuff from Theresa in the email as well as some really great inspirational stuff.

Mike is one of the best players on the scene today. You can listen to his CDs for hours and not tire of his playing. Anyone who likes good steel playing should have all his CDs- I do.

I have been wondering why there has not been post re: Mike Sweeney. Met Mike at the Branson, Mo. steel show. I bought his "Heart of Steel" CD - great stuff.

Some 12 or 13 yrs. ago I was producing some independent artists in Nashville, and it was always a treat to go out to the Nashville Palace and hear Mike play. Jody.
