Thanks Russ
I can blame it all on Age.
and not growing up with these new fangled machines,

The Old recording Studio Buttons and Knobs
I remember how to use
I grew up in San Jose, and hung around
the studios there with that old gang,
Most of them went on to better things,

Damn Herbie, that's the music that I grew up with and when musicians could play music. We used to dance the entire night away with that music swimming in our ears.

Love it Herbie.

Al, Thanks
I enjoyed clicking through your WEB
A musical career to be admired
Brings back many memories I remember seeing one of those Gibson Steels, with the weird looking pedals on it,at a gig in Union City,CA. can't remember who was playing it.
I was also in Santa Rosa, and Petaluma,CA in 1960, And picked a while in,Oreville,CA about that time, Then on to The Nevada Circuit.

I wonder how many young and future musicians got their starts by listening and wanting to play the kind of music that Herbie linked us to.

I know when I was about 6 or 7, my parents would take the entire family to the Saturday night dances in the forties and us kids would sit there and be enthralled by the musicians and their instruments. My first musical instrument was a thing called a “Sweet Potato”. It was a weird shaped thing that sounded like a Tonet. Regardless, I used to haul that darn thing around to the dances and blow away at it trying to mimic those Saturday night musicians.

Herbie’s type of old time music has never left my soul nor has the memories of those long ago dances that the entire family would go to.

While reading the list of Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame Steel Players,
There in the list, is four Steelers I was fortunant to share the stage with years ago,
playing gigs,
when they wewe New Kids on the block,
also I did a recording session with, one, laying down a Fiddle track in the 1980's
I'm sure many hundreds of musicians have done the same, or worked with all on the list
I just considered this an honor to have been on the scene in those days, won't mention the names here, out of respect, to them and their fans

Erik
I have an old, Concertmate Keyboard, that has a ,Record Playback feature, I can record the, Bass, Drums, and other fill, Then play it through a couple Cassette recorders,
to add the real instruments,
Then convert it all to mp3 in the Computer.

Hey, this is a high class studio,,,Would have been 50 years ago.
Anyhow, just enjoying playing with it.
And the Grandkids taught me to use what
little I know about this Computer.
