I have a dark 1953 Fender stringmaster quad I am fixing up. A tuning key in one of the key heads is stripped. My ? is how do you get the key out of the key head to replace it? It is soldered in plus the shaft goes through a hole in the key head which makes it impossible to get out. Also what kind of replacememt key would fit it? Under the first 3 key heads is the date of mfg. (9/13/53) with the letters Babe. Would anyone know who Babe was. I'm thinking it was the name of the person who assembled the guitar. Also under the name are the numbers in red 10-53. I also have a blond 53 custom double neck that also has the name Babe under the tuning head. Would appreciate any help.[This message was edited by Chuck Rich on 28 December 2005 at 01:15 PM.]
