Bob, to my knowledge, Ralph has never tuned or used the other neck. When I played with him, years ago, I asked him if he had plans to use the second neck. Ralph said "I'm savin' that for hard times".

I think that Ralph used to tune one neck with G tuning on it like a Dobro and the other E-9th. Either way, Moon can pick! I spent some time with him and Waylon's band back stage several years ago and Moon was very funny and very down to earth type guy. I liked him and still dig his style. He wears his own kind of stel hat.

GOD bless!

That concert in its entirety is included on the Waylon Jennings documentary dvd. The documentary is great, but that concert is worth the cost of the dvd by itself. Mr. Mooney is featured prominently on every single song. I swear he does a ripping solo in each and every song and the film crew actually shows it unnlike most other concert films where when the steel comes in they cut to the audience or Roy Acuffs Yo-yo or something. Awesome concert, highly recommend the dvd.

It's also available under the title

"Lost Outlaw Performance."

Definitely a must. Plenty of Moon on every track.

Speaking of Waylon, has anybody heard Waylon's "latest" album,"Waylon Sings Hank Williams"? This is Country at it BEST! Lotsa steel & fiddle!

Plus,a "bonus" track, where Waylon speaks about, how Hank was an inspiration to him. Check it out for some GREAT (REAL) Country music! (This album was released in 2006.)
