I’ve uploaded a couple of tunes from a small local restaurant gig a few years ago. A friend brought out a video camera. I recently took the time to learn how to edit the MPEG down to individual clips and upload them. (Not an early adopter.)

My intonation is off in some places and there is not an original lick in the whole thing. But we had a good time and the other players are superb and great friends. They are Jerry Braswell on bass and vocals, Billy Puckett on guitar, and Brad Williams on drums. We've all worked together at differnt times but this group was thrown together for that night

Hey, Bill!!! Always a pleasure to hear you play, as well as Jerry and Billy. I'd never heard the drummer before, but he knows right when to hit 'em. Good job, man. I'm saving you the 1 to 1:30 spot at Saluda!

Hey Steve:
That drummer is Brad Williams. One of the best bass players and singers you will ever hear! You would remember him when he played for Tommy Dodd.

Bill you don't know me but it's nice to see country music alive and well so keep up the good picking I really enjoyed it.

Chubby one of these days I'm going to surprise you and come up and see you and Tony and hoperfully set in with you guys if you'll have me.

I'm kind of retired these days due to some health problems but I'd love to do some traveling and go and visit some of my old friends. I enjoyed meeting you and Tony and picking with both of you guys we sure had fun huh?. Ask him if he remembers coming over to my studio when he was in town and tell him I said howdy. By the way what was the name of that club I first met you guys at up in Ohio? Was it Julies or JC's or mayybe even Stonybrook I think I played at all three of them. I'm thinking it was at JC's Primetime on a Sunday afternoon Radio show. They use to pack them in there for those shows standing room only as I remember.

I still pick some and I love to travel so don't be surprised if I show up sometime.

Bob

Bill,

You are an excellent musician and the band can swing (that's rare around here)!

cheers,

Thanks a bunch you guys.

Steve, I'll try to make Saluda this time. (That's what I always say and then something comes up.)

Yes, that was Brad Williams on drums who I have played with off and on since he was a six year old singing sensation. In addition to bass and vocals, he is a school music teacher and Belmont trained percussionist!!! Don't you just hate that!!

I THINK (? - I'm getting old) that I worked with Mr. Braswell some in Nashville in the late 60's and/or thru the early to middle 70's. Was he there then?? And, IF it's the same fellow, would youy please say 'hello' for me?!

Hi, Bill...

That was very nice, especially 'Django's Castle'. Now I'm gonna work that one up - it's been a favourite tune of mine since I got Chet Atkin's 'Teensville' in 1959, so it hasn't taken me THAT long to get around to it...

I've just got hi-speed internet, so I'm catching up on all the tantalising 'YouTube' clips that I was missing in my old dial-up days (last week!)

I've found one of Duane Eddy with me on rhythm guitar - that was a nice surprise! It's just like the first time I had a computer in 2000 - I've been sat in front of mine all day!

Chick,
I am that same old guy. Thank God I am still around. I still get up to Nashville now and then. I have a daughter and grandson that still live there and a lot of friends. It's great to here from some of the musicians who were there during that period of time. Maybe we will run into each again one day. Take care
