Yeah, but you haven't had anybody give you $1500, have you, bud? Tell you what--I think your guitar is worth double that! In fact, if I had $5000 I'd give it to you for the picks. But I don't. Now go revise your auction and raise your price. |

I wonder whom the several people are that told this guy that it's worth over $1500?
He didn't bother to mention who he asked, so that plus a buck-and-a-half will buy you a cup of coffee!
It's a nice looking guitar but I guess when a lot of folks put an item on ebay they figure the P.T. Barnum sucker-born-every-minute rule always applies.
I can remember bidding on a slightly used Boss tuning pedal several months ago but quit when the price hit a certain level.
The absurdity of it was that here it was, slightly used. On a couple of the mail order sites you could get a brand new one for about $60 but the winning bidder apparently never bothered to check out one of those websites, along with a few other folks that overbid.
The "winner" as it were, ended up paying $81.

I just had to put in my 5c worth, so I sent an email to the seller. It goes like this:
--------------------------------------------
Hi,
That's a Fender Deluxe 6. Realistically it's worth about $700 - $900. Whoever told you it's worth over $1500 doesn't know what they're talking about. Double neck Stringmasters usually get $1000 - 1200 and triple necks usually get about $1200 - $1400. These prices will likely go up in the next few years, but right now that's where it stands.
I own several of these guitars and I keep an eye on the market on a daily basis. gcrep sellers (Guitar Center) typically overprice their steel guitars and nobody ever bids on them. Steel Players are a small, tightly knit, savvy group - and tend to be very aware of current prices.
That sure is a nice Deluxe 6 you have there - good luck with your auction.

John, This is true. My Royaltone just ended at $511 which was a shocker to me. I told him it was worth around $800. I thought this was a Stringmaster?

I predict he will get at least $1500.00 for it in a snap...providing he sells it in the year 2020. |

This guy says "I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION AT ANY TIME AND I WILL DO SO IF IT DOES NOT GET UP TO A REASONABLE PRICE". Is he even allowed to yank out the rug like that? He shoulda just set a reserve on it rather than come off soundin like a cry baby. |

My father passed away a little over a year ago and I miss and think about him every day. How could this guy even think about selling something that must have so many memories. |

Yeah Right ! !
I have my dads old Gibson L00 1932 flat top. My mom bought it for him in 1932. No one has ever played it but him and I. How much will I take for it ? I want a dollar for every time he beat my butt. No one has that much money. Beside that, it must have done me a lot of good..LOL
